Christmas Party Details – Cocktails and Cookies for Santa!
Join us wearing your tackiest Christmas attire for our Christmas party and Cookie Auction event.
Wednesday, December 18th, 2019.  Event begins at 7pm (regular meeting time)
40 Knots Vineyard and Estate Winery, 2400 Anderton Rd, Comox, BC V9M 4E5
Theme: Christmas Cookie Auction
Subtheme: Tacky Christmas Attire
40 Knots will be offering up a special half-price Christmas cocktail, as well as beer and wine.
Bring a friend or bring a spouse!  This is a great event to showcase how social we are, and how we “fun raise”.
Santa will be on hand for photos (thanks John) and will be evaluating whether you are naughty or nice.
Cookie Auction and Fundraiser Details:
Bring 3 dozen cookies, split into 3 separate bags or plates of one dozen each:
  • 1 dozen to be served to the judges and the event attendees to eat (a few from this dozen will also go into a big Cookie platter which will be auctioned off)
  • 1 dozen to be sold in the silent auction, with funds going to support the Rotary club
  • 1 dozen to be donated to the food bank
Allergy Considerations
We will have a nut-free table. Please label your contribution nut free of applicable, and bring your recipe to have on hand in case you need to verify ingredients for someone with other allergies.
 
Silent Auction Details
  • You will be setting the minimum bid price for your cookies
  • We will have a credit card reader available for payment, but please bring cash if possible (no transaction fees)
 
Not much of a baker?  No worries!  Please feel free to bring store-bought cookies from any of the wonderful bakeries or grocery stores in our area – at this time of year, there will be lots to holiday baking items to choose from.
